2024 NRL Grand Final
Penrith V Melbourne
2024 NRL Grand Final between Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm at Accor Stadium, Sydney on 6th October, 2024.
A big thank you to Nikon Australia for an incredible experience and opportunity.
The 2024 NRL Grand Final saw the Penrith Panthers claim their fourth consecutive premiership, defeating the Melbourne Storm 14-6 at Accor Stadium. This victory makes Penrith the first team since St. George in the 1960s to win four titles in a row, cementing their legacy in the modern NRL era.
The match was a defensive battle, with Penrith taking a 10-6 lead at halftime thanks to tries from Sunia Turuva and Liam Martin. Martin, who also made 46 tackles, was awarded the Clive Churchill Medal for his outstanding performance. In the second half, a try from Paul Alamoti extended Penrith’s lead, and their defense held firm despite a strong push from Melbourne. The Storm had several opportunities but couldn’t break through the resilient Panthers defense. Notably, the game included a controversial moment when Melbourne’s Cameron Munster was put on report for an alleged biting incident. Despite their efforts, Melbourne was unable to break Penrith’s hold on the game, with the Panthers now standing as one of the NRL’s greatest dynasties.
The Kid LAROI kicked off the evening by rocking the crowd with a fiery, smoke filled pre match entertainment.
